At Jujume, Inc., we are committed to protecting the privacy of our customers when visiting and shopping our website. Our privacy and security policy is designed to help you understand how and when we collect information through our website, how this information is used and how your information is protected. By using this website, you consent to the processing of your information, as described in this section, in the manner and for the purposes described herein.
What do we do with your information?
When you sign-up to receive special offers and new product alerts, or make a purchase on our website, we collect the personal information that you voluntarily provide to us, such as your name, address and email address. Virtually all eCommerce websites do this. When you provide us with credit card information for a transaction, we infer that you consent to our collecting that information and using it for that reason only. Special measures to protect your financial information are described later in this section.
From time to time, we may use your information to send you emails or mailings at your postal address regarding new puzzles and special offers from us. If, at any time, you want to opt-out of receiving emails or other correspondence, you may do so by contacting us at customercare@jujumepuzzles.
From time to time we may establish a business relationship with other persons or entities whom we believe trustworthy and whom we have confirmed or required that their privacy policies are consistent with ours. In the course of those relationships we may share and cross-reference information, including personal information about you (no financial information will be shared, ever) that will enable such persons or entities to contact you regarding products and services that may be of interest to you.
In certain, rare instances we may disclose your personal information when we have reason to believe that it is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against persons or entities who may be causing injury to you, to Jujume, Inc. or to others. We may also have disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.
Payment Privacy and Security
To protect your personal information, Jujume, Inc uses SSL encryption, which is the Internet standard in security. Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software is provided by Shopify, Inc., one of the world's leading providers of Internet trust services and we believe it is the best software available today for secure online commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet. You can rest assured that your personal information is safe.
When you visit our website, we automatically receive your computer’s IP address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. This information does not identify you personally, but provides statistics regarding all visits to our site by all users.
Our website and store are hosted by Shopify, Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify applications. They store your data on a secure server that is protected by a firewall.
If you use a credit card to pay for an online purchase, Shopify stores your credit card data. Shopify provides this service to over 800,000 online companies. Your information is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After your transaction is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment options follow the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like VISA, MasterCard, American Express and DISCOVER. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and our service providers.
Cookies & Web Beacons
Occasionally we may use cookies to collect non-personal information in order to improve our customers’ user experience. A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. Using cookies allows Shopify to store information about users visits to our store (what browsers are being used, what pages are visited within our site, how many visits, etc.). These technologies help us to better understand user behavior so that we can improve users’ site navigation, content and search experience. Cookies are also used to store information about the contents of your cart and personal information that you provide us so we can make your experience on the site more convenient. You can generally set your browser to not accept cookies or to notify you when you are sent a cookie.
Jujume may also use web beacons to track website activity. While different from cookies, a web beacon (also called a clear gif or page tag) acts in similar ways and often in conjunction with cookies. Web beacons are a way to unobtrusively determine which pages on our website are most popular among our users. They can also track which emails are opened by our users.
